- Schools Role and Responsibilities
The Company is responsible to deliver IT solutions which meets the School requirements. A Good Delivery is defined as - in time, with in costs and meeting requirements. To ensure a Good Delivery, the Company has devised a system by which the work is divided into following three major areas:
- Pre-development - comprising of capturing the requirements, architecture development, design development and documenting all this to hand it over to development team.
- Development - programming and integrations of modules and sub modules
- Post development - Testing, bug-fixing, UAT, delivery, training and usage built-up.
- The company has a development center where there is a dedicated software development team and is serviced centrally. First and last function of pre and post needs continuous interaction with the School and thus is handled by separate Consultants who are dedicated to the Schools.
- Thus, for the Company to ensure GOOD DELIVERY of Solution continuously and on month to month basis, it is very important that Pre-development work is done very meticulously with complete involvement of responsible persons from school who sign off the requirement document along with test data and report formats, and also sign off UAT on delivery of the solution.
- Thus School has a major role in ensuring GOOD DELIVERY which should be in time and within costs.
- For the School to ensure that they are able to meet their Obligations properly, following teams are to be in place and do their roles very effectively:
- School Operations Team - Responsible for Annual and Quarterly Plan
- Portal Administrators - Responsible for Monthly Plan
- Process Owners - Responsible for Sign off of SRS and UAT
